Valyermo fall festivalThe annual fall festival held at Saint Andrew's Abbey in Valyermo offers a wide variety of arts & entertainment as well as the world famous angelic ceramics of Fr. Maur van Doorslaer. Each year thousands of people flock to the beautiful San Gabriel foothills to visit the serene surroundings of this Benedictine Monastery.

Unique to the abbey is a unique selection of Christian gifts, books and art as well as the Abbey Market, which offers fine wine, select olive oils, free trade coffees and honey under the St. Andrew's Abbey label.

Typically held on the last weekend in September from 9AM to 7PM on Saturday and 9AM to 6PM on Sunday

How to get there:

  • From Los Angeles: Take 5 freeway north to the 14 freeway north.  Get off on the Pearblossom Highway exit.   Go for five miles to Highway 138.  Turn right onto Highway 138.  Go for nine miles to the town of Pearblossom.   Turn right at the Chevron’s gas station onto Longview Road.   Go up Longview Road for one half mile.  Turn left onto Avenue W.   Follow the long, winding road for four miles to St. Andrew's Abbey.
  • From San Bernardino: Take 15 freeway north to Highway 138 exit.  Turn left onto Highway 138 toward Palmdale.  Go for about 30 miles to the town of Pearblossom.  Turn left at the Chevron’s gas station onto Longview Road.  Go up Longview Road for one half mile.  Turn left onto Avenue W.  Follow the long, winding road for four miles to St. Andrew's Abbey.
  • From within the Antelope Valley: Go east on Palmdale Blvd., which is also known as Highway 138.  Follow Highway 138 to the town of Pearblossom.  Pearblossom is about 19 miles from the 14 freeway.  Turn right at the Chevron’s gas station onto Longview Road.  Go up Longview Road for one half mile.  Turn left onto Avenue W.  Follow the long, winding road for four miles to St. Andrew's.

What to bring:

  • Cash - if you plan to shop the vendor booths it's a must
  • Comfortable shoes
  • A sweater - mornings and evenings can get chilly
  • Camera

You should know:

  • The famous home-cooked roast beef dinner and apple crisp are outstanding!
  • No pets are allowed
