The city of Lancaster's independence day fireworks display is one of the largest in the Antelope Valley. Held each year at the AV Fairgrounds; you can have a BLAST this fourth of July. The fairgrounds are roomy enough to enjoy the fireworks show from many vantage points. There is also a rural olympics show to enjoy before dusk.If you would rather avoid the crowds in the fairgrounds itself you can watch from several open fields in the nearby area as well the parking lot. You won't hear the music, but you can still see the magnificent aerial explosions in all of their glory. Typically, if you park outside of the fairgrounds themselves, you can leave without as much traffic congestion after the show is over.
