Dry Town water park is a great place to go on those hot days in the AV. The park features a six-acre Old West mining town-themed aquatic park with a 925-foot lazy river; a 35-foot water slide tower with three water slides and a splash pool; 6,000-square-foot children's water playground; a food and beverage snack bar with patio area; a merchandise store; a covered picnic area and arcade.
The rolling hills in the westernmost Antelope Valley come alive in springtime. From afar the hills appear airbrushed with color. While the California Poppy Reserve may be a great subject for a painting, it's also a great place to go for a walk, learn about our state flower and at the same time, take in the magnificent view.

With an elevation starting at 4,200 ft above sea level, the view over the high desert seems to go on forever. Beautiful pine trees & fresh air abound at this hidden geological wonderland.
On a clear day, towering granite mountaintops can be seen throughout the easternmost Antelope Valley. Standing some thousand feet about the valley floor, most of these mountains are part of Saddleback Butte State Park; created to preserve the pristine natural beauty of the high desert.
Tehachapi produces more wind generated energy than anyplace in the world. There are several locations to get a great view of the windmills; in fact they are pretty hard to miss. Hiking will provide you with a closer view via the Pacific Crest Trail; however great views can be seen just by taking a drive along Willow Springs Road from Rosamond to Tehachapi.
Over 70 of the world’s most endangered felines reside right here in the Antelope Valley. At the Exotic Feline Breeding compound in Rosamond, not only will you see some of the worlds most rare and beautiful cats in all their glory, but also many of them are housed just a few feet away from where you may stand to view them.
