Located on the eastside of Lancaster snuggled up in the northwest corner of the 20th street east and Avenue J shopping center is "Country Kitchen".  "Country Kitchen" gives you a down home feeling from the moment you walk in. You're greeted with a fine "hello" and "sit where you like" which makes it nice, you can actually choose where you want to sit. The walls are beautifully decorated to match the paint and seating.

We were on our way to Las Vegas and State Line Nevada to review a concert, hotel and casino so we were sneaking out of Lancaster the back way, east Avenue J to Adelanto, well, you know the route. We were hungry and wanted good food, not fast food, but some good food and lots of coffee. We had never gheard of "Country Kitchen" and quite honestly we were looking for a differnt eatery we once patronized and stumbled into it.

The first thing I noticed after we were seat and while ordering are food, was how friendly the staff is and how she made us feel like we actually wanted to be there. We ordered our food and as we sat there we noticed customers coming in who were greeted the same way we were and most were welcomed by name so it was obvious that this "Country Kitchen" has some local faithful and we found out why.

The "Country Kitchen" is clean, friendly and well maintained. The employees we met were very kind and courteous and treated you like a friend that hadn't seen in awhile, you actually felt welcomed and relaxed.

We ordered (3) large servings for the three of us and it didn't take all day to get our food. The food was fresh and hot and not from under a heat lamp, this was nice. The portions were large and well worth what we spent for the three of us. We were able to sit relatively comfortably in a nice booth setting and relax while gearing up for the upcoming 3 hour drive.

The parking is great, plenty of parking and easy access to the front door of the restaurant. The menu offers a wide variety of food and I really recommend breakfast as it was very good and kept us from getting hungry while we made the drive.

A lot of businesses are to "busy" to get personal but we felt we were not only treated well but given above service and everyone we saw were treated equally well.

The bill was about the same as any other nice restaurant and didn't break us. I can't do anything but highly recommend "Country Kitchen" as your next stop for a good breakfast, good atmosphere and good food, even if they do have a picture of Bill Warford on the wall, just kidding Bill.

Overall, a huge "A" plus for us to you "Country Kitchen" and good luck!!
