So here we are having a water crisis and each day when I come home from work I drive past the motorcross facility at the Antelope Valley Fairgrounds and see them hosing down the dirt out there. I know that they need to do this to keep the dust down, but doesn't this seem like a waste of water?!
Here I have gone to extremes in my own home to keep myself and my kids from using too much water and it really pisses me off to see such a blatent waste of water.

After writing to 2 council members and 1 assembly person, I magivally receieved a call from "Don" the Special Education Supervisor for Southern Kern Unified. He basically said he wanted me to hold on until the nurse gets back. I was slighlty thrown aback by that request as he is well aware of the state law involved here. How many people are taking care of their own? Shouldn't we keep as much business in the valley as possible?
I need a car, I go to Antelope Valley ford(I like Fords!).

Electric cars - Couldn't we install solar panels on our car roofs, and attach generators to all four wheels continuesly capturing energy. Install mini wind machines to continuesly charge batteries? It seems that having all of these technolgies generating electricity all the time would hopefully be enough to continuesly charge the batteries on electric cars. Have you seen these things? You rent a DVD for $1 for the day from a completely computerized machine found at the front of the grocery store. Pretty nifty, right? WRONG!
I admittedly used the red box machine a few times at my local Albertson's when it was brand new and thought it was swell.
